WHAT IS AURONAL AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR
Auronal is used to treat mild to moderate hypertension and angina to prevent crises. Auronal is part of the group of calcium channel blockers with mainly vascular effects.
BEFORE YOU TAKE AURONAL
Do not use Auron – If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to felodipine, other medicines of the dihydropyridine class or any of the other components of Auronal; – If you have untreated heart failure; – If you are diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction or have had a myocardial infarction (heart attack) in the last month; – If you have unstable angina; – If you are pregnant; – If you are diagnosed with aortic stenosis with clinical manifestations.
Take special care with Auronal
Ask your doctor if you are one of the following situations: – You have impaired liver function; – Suffer from heart failure; – Have low blood pressure. Children No clinical experience of felodipine administration in children, is not recommended at this category of patients.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those bought without a prescription, especially if you received treatment with one of the following drugs: – Carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital (medicines used to treat epilepsy (seizures), – Rifampicin, erythromycin (antibiotic), – Preparations of St. John’s Wort plane, – Ketoconazole or itraconazole (medicines used to treat diseases caused by fungi) – Protease inhibitors used in HIV therapy. – Tacrolimus (medicines used to suppress the immune system) – Cimetidine (a medicine used to treat peptic ulcers),
